How to set up a TBBN Space
A Space is one bookable thing at a location — a table, a desk, a meeting room, a shelf behind the counter for drop-offs. A location can have many Spaces, each with its own price and calendar.
You need a verified identity and a location enabled for TBBN Space first — see Become a host.
Create a Space
- Go to space.tbbnetwork.com → My Spaces and open the location.
- Under Add a Space:
- Name — what guests see, e.g. "Study Room A".
- Category — Study room, Meeting room, Office room, Event space, Restaurant table, Retail corner, Parking spot, Coworking desk or Other.
- How guests find their spot — Numbered, self-service, Look for a sign, Ask a staff member or Other.
- Select Add Space. The first time, accept the Space Host Agreement when asked.
The new Space starts as a Draft — only you can see it. Open it from the list to finish setting it up.
Set a price
Under Set a price:
- Choose the Service:
- Meetup facilitation — people meet there.
- Drop-off / pickup (custody) — you hold an item until someone collects it.
- Both — meetups and drop-offs, each with its own fee.
- Coworking space — guests book the room or desk for a length of time.
- Enter the fee and choose the Currency.
- Drop-off: set Max hold days (the longest you'll hold an item) and, optionally, a Per-day fee.
- Coworking space: choose Charge — Per booking (flat), Per hour or Per day — and optionally Min minutes and Max minutes per booking. Tick Require my approval before payment if you want to accept or decline each request first.
- Optionally add a Discount % (optional) and Discount ends (optional) date. To end a discount early, tick Remove active discount.
- Select Save price. Repeat for each service you offer.
Prices exclude tax — TBBN adds tax and its processing fee when the guest pays.
Profile & visibility
Under Profile & visibility, set:
- Status — Draft — only you can see it, Live — guests can find and book it, or Paused — hidden, no new bookings (existing bookings are kept).
- Category and How guests find their spot.
- Who can see/book this Space — Public — anyone browsing or searching, API only — not shown
in public browse/search (for businesses booking through the Space API), or Restricted — only
matching emails/domains with Allowed emails or Allowed email domains (e.g.
cornell.edu). - Max concurrent bookings — how many bookings can overlap at once.
- Seats (optional), parking (Parking available, Parking notes) and Important things to note.
- Liability — tick I accept liability for an item held here, up to the cap below and set Liability cap ($), or leave it unticked so the person dropping off carries the liability.
- Photos and Amenity photos (optional, up to 20) with captions.
- Optional links: Virtual tour or demo link, Your terms, Your privacy policy.
Select Save profile. If your Business is verified, TBBN emails you a code first: enter it and select Verify & save.
Go live
When the price, photos and policy are ready, set Status to Live — guests can find and book it and save. The Space now appears in search on space.tbbnetwork.com, unless you made it API-only or restricted.
Calendar sync
Under Calendar sync:
- This Space's calendar feed (read-only) — copy the link and subscribe to it in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar to see every TBBN booking.
- Your own calendar's export URL — paste your Google or Outlook private ICS link and select Save calendar URL. TBBN then won't let a guest book a time that's busy on your calendar. Select Sync now to refresh it immediately.
Refund and no-show policy
Each Space follows your Business-wide policy unless you set one just for it. See Refund and no-show policy.
Common questions
My Space doesn't appear in search. Check that Status is Live, Who can see/book this Space is Public, it has a price, and your location is enabled for TBBN Space.
Can I offer a Space for free? Contact us from tbbnetwork.com/contact. A free Space carries a flat TBBN listing fee instead of a commission, and an existing Space can't be switched between free and paid.
My Business shows "Unverified" to guests. Finish Stripe Connect — completing it verifies your Business.
