The TBBN blog: reading, liking, commenting and writing
The TBBN blog at tbbnetwork.com/blog has guides, stories from people and businesses who trade, and news about TBBN. Anyone can read it. With a free TBBN account you can like posts and join the discussion.
Find posts
- Recommended shows featured posts first, then the posts people are reading and talking about most right now. Latest, Most liked and Most discussed sort the blog those ways.
- Select a topic under the sort buttons to see only that category, or All topics to go back.
- Type in Search the blog and select Search to find posts by their title, summary or tags.
- Select a tag (for example #barter) on a post or under Popular tags to see every post with it. Clear removes a search or tag.
- Follow the blog in a feed reader with its RSS feed link.
Like, share and comment
On a post:
- Select Like to like it, and Liked to take your like back. You need to be logged in; if you aren't, TBBN asks you to log in and brings you back.
- Share it with Copy link, Share… (on phones), Share on X, WhatsApp or Email.
- Under the comments, write in Share your thoughts and select Post comment. Select Reply under a comment to answer it. You can Delete your own comments at any time.
Comments show your first name and the first letter of your last name. Keep them friendly and on topic; the blog's writers can hide comments, and you can post up to 10 comments an hour.
If a comment breaks the rules, select Report under it and choose a reason. TBBN reviews every report; a comment several people report is hidden while we look.
Write for the blog
Writing for the blog is by invitation. If TBBN has invited you, log in with your TBBN account and go to tbbnetwork.com/blog/manage.
- An author writes and manages their own posts and the comments on them.
- An editor manages every post and comment, and can feature a post at the top of the blog.
Write a post
- Select New post.
- Fill in the Title, an Excerpt (shown on cards, in search results and link previews) and
the post itself. Posts are written in Markdown:
##for a heading,**bold**,[a link](…),-for a list, andfor an image. Select Preview to see it as readers will. - Add a Cover image (a wide 16:9 image works best) and an Image description, a Category and Tags.
- Under Search and sharing, you can change the post's Address and set a Search title and Search description. The preview shows how it can look in search results.
- Select Save. The post stays a draft that only writers can see.
Publish, schedule or take a post down
- Publish now puts it on the blog straight away.
- To publish later, pick a date and time under Or schedule for and select Schedule.
- Unpublish takes a published post off the blog. You can publish it again later.
- Delete removes a post with its likes and comments for good. Authors can delete their drafts; only editors can delete a post that has been published.
Moderate comments
On Manage the blog, open Comments. Select Hide to remove a comment from the post, or choose Hidden and select Show again to bring it back.
